John Bowmaker oversees business development at Vorex, bringing more than 44 years of leadership experience in the construction and oil and gas industries. With deep industry knowledge and a global network of relationships, John is a respected leader known for operational excellence and strategic execution.

A native of Trimdon, UK, John began his career as a mechanical maintenance fitter following a guild apprenticeship during secondary school. This hands-on experience laid the foundation for a career rooted in practical expertise and mentorship under seasoned industry leaders. He later pursued further education at Liverpool College and earned an MBA in Applied Management from Canterbury, strengthening his business acumen and leadership capabilities.

In 1981, John joined the Dong-Ah Consortium, a prominent South Korean industrial construction company, where he spent over two decades overseeing major international contracts. In 1995, he brought his expertise to The Pyeroy Group, helping guide its global expansion. His leadership journey continued with key roles at Hertel, Lancaster Group, and EnerMech-Ariadna JV, where he played pivotal roles in operational growth and international development.

Today, John brings his multi-disciplinary management expertise to Vorex, contributing to its strategic growth. He continues to be driven by a passion for innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the field.

John lives with his wife, Elya, and their two children, Danial and Diora.
